Peninsula Conservation Center
3921 E. Bayshore Road, Palo Alto, CA

In June 2018 PCS member Jeff Hunter climbed Mount Rainier’s Ingraham Direct route. His companions? Seven semi-professional bodybuilders and strongman competitors. Come and hear about this surprising assemblage and their journey to the summit of the most topographically prominent peak in the continental United States.

Mt. Siegel, 2,881 mtr.:

READ THE WHOLE WRITE-UP. Mt. Siegel, 2,881 mtr. part of the Ogul list of peaks. April 27, 10 AM. Depending on how far we can drive in, this will include Oreana and Galena peaks with only 8-10 km. of hiking and 300 mtr. of gain. If we can not get close enough it may be 15 km and 700 mtr of gain to just to get to Mt. Siegel. I have failed on this peak twice because of the snow making vehicle access to tough. But the snow is melting quickly. I don't know about the consolidation, so snowshoes, and crampons/micro-spikes may be needed. Leader Jeff Fisher 650-207-9632 day of event only. (text is best)
